1. Rental Return Policy
1.1 Standard Return
- All vehicles must be returned on or before the scheduled return date and time.
- Returns must be made at the original pickup location or an approved return location as agreed upon in writing.
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was rented, excluding normal wear.
- A walk-around inspection will be completed at the time of return. Any damage, excessive wear, or evidence of misuse may result in additional charges.
1.2 Early Returns
- No refund or credit is provided for early returns, unless agreed to in advance under a flexible rental agreement.
- CM Motors LC reserves the right to apply a minimum rental charge (typically 1–3 days) regardless of early return.
1.3 Late Returns
- A grace period of 30 minutes is allowed for returns.
- Returns after the grace period may be subject to additional hourly or daily rental charges, as detailed in your rental agreement.
- Unauthorized late returns beyond 24 hours may be reported as unauthorized use and handled accordingly.
2. Refund Policy
2.1 Cancellations
- 72 hours or more before the rental start time: Full refund.
- 48–72 hours before the rental start time: 50% refund.
- Less than 48 hours before rental start time or no-shows: No refund.
Note: Refunds are only issued to the original payment method.
2.2 Vehicle Unavailability
- If a reserved vehicle becomes unavailable due to mechanical failure, accident, or unforeseen event:
- A comparable replacement vehicle will be offered.
- If a suitable replacement cannot be provided, a full refund will be issued.
2.3 Unsatisfactory Conditions
- If a renter receives a vehicle that is not in satisfactory condition (excluding minor cosmetic issues), they must report it within 1 hour of receiving the vehicle.
- CM Motors LC will inspect and, if warranted, issue a partial refund or offer an alternative vehicle.
3. Non-Refundable Charges
The following fees are non-refundable:
- Security deposit deductions (if damage or policy violations occurred)
- Late return fees
- Excess mileage charges
- Refueling charges
- Smoking or cleaning fees
- Towing or impound fees due to renter negligence
4. Security Deposit
- The security deposit will be refunded within 5–10 business days after vehicle inspection, less any deductions for damages, cleaning, fuel, or other fees.
- Delays may occur depending on your bank’s processing time.
5. Refund Processing
- All approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during booking.
- Refunds typically reflect within 5–10 business days depending on your financial institution.
